You may share individual folders and files just as easily as a Data Room. When users are invited to a folder or file, they will only see the contents of that item and will not have access to the rest of the Data Room.
Users invited directly to individual files cannot use the Edit feature, regardless of role. Users invited to folders at the Creator and above levels can use the Edit feature.
If you are an Administrator or Moderator, you will see a Permissions & Sharing icon when you hover over a folder or file.
Clicking on the Permissions & Sharing icon displays the Share dialog box. From there, click the Users tab and enter the email addresses of the users you would like to invite to share those files or folders. Then, select a role to determine the user's permission level and click the Invite button.
After clicking the Invite button, an email invitation will be sent to each address. The status of each user for each file or folder will appear (as shown below). You will be able to see whether they have accepted the invitation. Until a user has accepted an invitation, the status button will show INVITED below their email address.
If the user did not receive the email, click on the INVITED status button, and click the Copy this link button to copy the invitation link to send to the user.
When a folder or file has been shared, the Permissions & Sharing silhouette icon becomes bold to highlight that users have been invited directly to it.
You may return to the Permissions & Sharing dialog to change a user's role or remove their access to the file or folder.
