The Enforce Complex Password Policy is a project-wide setting found under the Security section of your Project Settings.
- Click the Project Settings icon on your Home page and select Security from the sidebar menu.
- Click the Enforce Complex Password Policy checkbox.
- Click the Save Changes button.
Our VDR’s standard settings require that user passwords be at least 10 characters in length. Enabling the Enforce Complex Password Policy setting will require all users of your Data Rooms and your Project to set up a password with more stringent requirements. Under the Enforce Complex Password Policy, passwords must:
- Be at least 10 characters
- Include at least 3 of the following:
- English uppercase characters (A-Z)
- English lowercase characters (a-z)
- Special characters (eg. !, $, #, %)
- Numbers (0 - 9)
Once this setting is enabled, all existing users will be required to choose a new password the next time they sign in, to ensure their password meets the more stringent requirements. Newly invited users will see the more stringent password requirements when accepting their first invitation.
